In addition, the city hosts many cultural events throughout the year, including concerts, exhibitions and theatre performances.

Experiences

A popular tourist attraction right in Bad Gastein is the aforementioned Gasteiner Wasserfall, which falls 341 meters into the valley below. You can walk to the waterfall or take the cable car up to it. Nearby is the Stubnergel suspension bridge; this is the highest suspension bridge in Austria and offers spectacular views of the surrounding mountains.
